Is there anyone who doesn’t love a good dupe? I frequently find myself falling in love with certain seasonal drinks or foods from restaurants, only to be massively disappointed when it’s discontinued a couple months later. Maybe it’s just because I’m a sucker for seasonal or limited edition items. My husband just the other day called me “a marketer’s dream”…and he’s right.
So anyways, when I tried the new Pink Velvet Dunkin’ Donut’s coffee drink, I knew I needed to make a dupe at home. I mean, who doesn’t love red velvet flavored things? Genius, I tell you. My other motivation for making an at home version is because Dunkin’ isn’t the greatest at having a variety of milk choices. And I personally, am a fan of coconut or oat milk, of which they have neither. So I figured, I’ll make a dupe, but I’ll also make it a bit more enjoyable for me. Win-win.
Making The Drink
Just to be clear, you’ll need to buy a couple things to make this at home. This isn’t one of those magical recipes where you just coincidentally always have these lying around at home. The main two items you’ll need to buy are a white chocolate coffee syrup and cheesecake flavored instant pudding mix. These are the two things that are going to give you that awesome red (pink) velvet flavor. The food coloring is optional, though who doesn’t love a good pink drink???
For the espresso shots, you have a few options. I personally own a espresso machine so I can pull my own shots at home. But before I owned one and I wanted to mimic my favorite espresso-based drinks I would either brew a very concentrated cup of coffee in my french press or use cold brew concentrate from the store (and not dilute it).
For my version of this drink I chose to use oat milk. I am currently obsessed with the creaminess of it but also that it doesn’t upset my stomach. But I also think that cow’s milk, almond, or coconut milk would also be delicious! It’s up to you! Happy coffee-ing!

2 shots of espresso
12 oz oat milk
4 tablespoons white chocolate coffee syrup
1 tbsp of cheesecake flavored instant pudding mix
2 drops of pink food coloring
Whipped cream (optional)
- Pull 2 shots of espresso and set aside to let cool
- Pour 12oz of oat milk into a glass.
- Add the cheesecake pudding mix, white chocolate coffee syrup, and food color and whisk together.
- Add ice to the glass, then pour the espresso on top.
- Top with whipped cream, as desired, and enjoy!
